The Local Urban District (LUD) of Warren The Local Urban District of Warren is the largest urban centre in the Municipality. With a population over 650 people, Warren offers a quality rural lifestyle and a variety of services.Located just 20 minutes northwest of Winnipeg on Highway #6, Warren is serviced by water, sewer and natural gas infrastructure. Fully serviced residential and commercial lots await development. A friendly business community looks forward to serving residents and visitors. Warren Elementary School and Warren Collegiate Institute provide excellent educational opportunities in a safe and friendly environment. Warren Collegiate Institute offers an accredited hockey program as well as many other course options.Recreation and leisure opportunities are abundant. Programming includes curling, hockey, golf, yoga and baseball for all age groups, ringette, figure skating, dance and senior activity programs. Aside from organized recreation opportunities, snowmobiling, horseback riding and cross-country skiing are favoured past-times. Youth groups including Cubs, Scouts, Girl Guides and 4-H support youth development and community involvement. Warren District Lions Club (men) and Warren Herizon Lions Club (women) demonstrate a commitment to community service complimented by friendship and fun. Small town hospitality is showcased throughout the summer with the weekend arrival of the Prairie Dog Central Vintage Passenger Train. Warren is the northern destination of the Prairie Dog Central and home to the West Interlake Trading Company Country Market.
