Waste Disposal Sites

The Rural Municipality of Woodlands is serviced by two disposal sites. The primary site is the Woodlands Disposal Site where residents are not charged a tipping fee. The Argyle Disposal Site is a operated in partnership with the Rural Municipality of Rockwood and tipping fees are assessed to all users (tipping fee schedule available in By-Law Listing section).Woodlands Disposal Site - 2-14-3W

*The Argyle Disposal Site is open on Victoria Day - closed all other statutory holidays.

Road Maintenance

Any road maintenance inquiries including grading and snow removal requests can be directed to the Municipal Shop at (204) 383-5651. Requests for major road improvements or construction can be made in writing to the Transportation Committee of Council c/o the Municipal Office. Local Urban District of Warren - Municipal Services

Sewer & Water The L.U.D. of Warren is serviced by a low-pressure sewer system and a water treatment facility with reservoir. New developments will be assessed the following fees:

Warren Sewer and Water Permit Fees:
$150.00 for Water Meter
$400.00 Sewer and Water Connection Fee
$1200.00 Infrastructure Fee

In new subdivisions such as Johnson Development and Warren Estates the developer has prepaid the infrastructure therefore only water meter and connection fees will be assessed. For further information on connection to municipal infrastructure, please contact the Municipal Office.

Service Charges for the Warren Sewer = $118.00 (collected by quarterly billings of $29.50)
Service Charges for the Warren Sewer and Water is $24.00 based on a minimum usage of 15 m3 ($1.35 for each additional cubic meter m3)

Garbage CollectionThe L.U.D. of Warren collects garbage based on the following schedule*:
May 1 - September 30 - Garbage collected every Wednesday
October 1 - April 30 - Garbage collected every second Wednesday

Village of Woodlands

The Village of Woodlands is serviced by a gravity flow sewer system connecting to a lagoon. This infrastructure is being paid for as a local improvement and will be assessed a frontage rate on the village taxes until the year 2015. Although water lines were installed during the sewer installation, water treatment and reservoir construction is still in the planning stage.

New developments within the local improvement area will be assessed a $50 connection fee to access the sewer system. Water lines to the development can be put in at the time and capped until the municipal water system is available. Installation of the water system will result in an infrastructure fee assessed (amount to be determined at time of installation).

Usage charges for the Woodlands Sewer System = $78.24 annually (collected in quarterly billings of $19.56)
